Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman’s Dusky project evolved from the dancefloor ready sounds made under the the name ‘Solarity’ – hear ‘Red’ for an idea of what that was about. Dusky’s debut LP ‘Stick By This’ was released 17th October 2011 on Anjunadeep. In its sixteen tracks lie an elusive combination in electronica – music that works as well on your hi-fi as in subby. We recommend not being rushed with listening and as there’s plenty of magic in here but if you really only have a few minutes today at least check ‘Grain’, ‘Lost In You’, ‘Mr Miyagi’, ‘If Only’ and the bonus track ‘Amongst Monks’ via this link. This July Dusky quickly dropped ‘Flo Jam’ EP and ‘Henry 85′ and yous know the rest of the story from here. Original house bangers by the pair + remixes of Justin Martin, Hot Chip and that one of ‘Reality’ has seen their name rise quickly but surely. This event will not be ticketed but with a flat £5 all night we strongly advise getting yourself down early to guarantee entry.

Montreal producer Jacques Greene belongs to that group of smart young talents who are picking up contemporary music by the ankles and shaking it until all the good stuff falls out. His sound speaks straight from the dark heart of the dance floor bringing out that indefinable something we want from underground club music. It is rooted in house, but his unique sound owes much to his love of R&B and garage. Behind Greene stand a number of releases from LuckyMe, Night Slugs and his own label Vase, not to mention his latest release “Ready” on Martyn’s 3024 imprint. The success of songs like “Another Girl” and EPs like “Concealer” have made Greene one of the most closely watched artists in recent months.

We’ve had the pleasure of playing with some really talented people over the last month or two and we’ve built up a backlog of sets and info we’d love to share.

First up, Noface.

All round badboy/soundqunt NoFace has risen to become one of the most respected and renowned DJs in Scotland. As resident for Mixed Bizness, his collaberation with Beta ‘Bad News’ and the Elektrikal Soundsystem, his free flowing, genre busting take on contemporary bass music has set him apart from the rest and placed him amongst the best. Noface joins forces with Floyd to launch Puzzles which promises big things… “Puzzles presents itself as a collective aimed towards the underground clubbing scenes more intuitive heads in amongst a maze of other nights and labels. Assembling influences from all corners of their musical backgrounds, ‘Puzzles’ pieces together flavours from all corners of the dance music history the UK has to the offer.”

Secondly… C.R.S.T.

Two of the Welsh crew joined us and Submerse on what was quite easily one of the most enjoyable parties we’ve ever thrown. We had them as mystery guests on the boat party we threw back in May and they held Sub Club strong before Submerse took the end. Quality guys with their heads screwed on, was an honor to have them join us.

And last but not least… Delusions of Grandeur

Only last week did young Chris Duncan take the helm of i AM, providing us with a truly eclectic mix of sounds. This was his fourth and last appearence with us before he ups pegs and moves to Berlin to take up a residency – oh we are not worthy….
